Special Programs]
Two special programs are also available for this exhibition.
(1) [Overnight] Special overnight program to experience pottery making with Yuki Nara (July 22-23)
(2) [Day trip] Special program to encounter Yuki Nara's works and Zenbo Seinei(July 23)

In the summer of 2023, Yuki Nara's works will be exhibited as a special exhibition at Zenbo Seineion Awaji Island.　　　　　　　　　
The second floor deck will be a ZEN Retreat facility where visitors can enjoy a 360-degree view of the natural landscape of Awaji Island.
Designed by Pritzker Prize winner Shigeru Ban with an impressive 100-meter-long wooden deck, Zenbo Seinei, visitors will be able to view Mr. Nara's new works displayed in this special space.

In this exhibition, in addition to the representative work "Bone Flower" and the new work "Bone Flower_Nest", the latest work "Synapse" inspired by the mysterious nature of Awaji Island will be presented.

Yuki Nara Yuki

BORN IN KANAZAWA, ISHIKAWA, JAPAN IN 1989, HE GRADUATED FROM TOKYO UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS, FACULTY OF FINE ARTS, DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE IN 2013 AND TAJIMI CITY INSTITUTE OF CERAMIC DESIGN IN 2016 AT THE TOP OF HIS CLASS. 2017 GRADUATED FROM TOKYO UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS, GRADUATE SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS, DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE AT THE TOP OF HIS CLASS. 2021-PRESENT, HE PRESIDES OVER THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN OFFICE EARTHEN.

In the field of ceramics, he has been invited to exhibit at Art Basel / Design Miami (Switzerland), TEFAF (Netherlands), and SOFA (USA).

Major awards include the 3rd Kanazawa World Craft Triennial Jury Special Prize, Pen Creator Award 2021, and the 79th Kanazawa Craft Exhibition World Craft City Declaration Memorial Prize.

建築と陶芸の融合を目指した代表作<Bone Flower>は金沢21世紀美術館に史上最年少で永久収蔵されている。建築分野では主な作品として<五行茶室>(2018/金沢21世紀美術館、台南市美術館)<Node>（2023/企業新社屋）、 <Cave>（2023/リノベーション）。 2021年には若手建築家の登竜門<Under 35 Architects exhibition 2021>のファイナリスト7組に選出される。

1. [Lodging] Special lodging program to experience pottery making with Yuki Nara (Saturday, July 22 - Sunday, July 23)

Dates ｜ July 22 (Sat) - 23 (Sun)

This is a unique overnight program where you will have the opportunity to experience making ceramics with Yuki Nara on July 22 (Sat) and 23 (Sun), 2011. During the pottery making experience on the Zen Deck, Nara will lead a pottery making class, where you will create your own pottery, which will be fired and sent to you later. We also invite you to experience the Zen Wellness offered by Zenbo Seinei, which includes a Zen experience surrounded by Nara's artwork and morning and evening meals prepared by Zenbo. Please join us for two precious days of Zen meditation retreat and Nara's artwork.

*The third session (13:00) is a special program in which actress Mihoko Shibata will recite Kojiki with music by taiko player Shuichiro Ueda and koto player Kumiko Otoshi, and will last for 1 hour and 50 minutes. The program is limited to junior high school students and older.

Zenbo Seinei Yuki Nara's artwork will be on display at the "KARAKURI" until August 6, 2012.
