Designed by Pritzker Prize winner Shigeru Ban, this huge wooden deck is approximately 100 meters long.

A Zen retreat that overwhelms people with its giant 100-meter-long wooden deck floating in the air is Zenbo Seinei, which opened on Awaji Island, Hyogo, in April 2022. Shigeru Ban was in charge of the design. Surrounded by a magnificent landscape, Zenbo Seinei is a place where people can reflect on themselves while feeling the power of nature.

What you can experience here is a Zen approach to meditation and yoga and yoga programs that incorporate Zen Wellness meditation and yoga programs. The program is led by instructors certified by the Japan Meditation Association and the Yoga Alliance. Whether you want to "reset" or "gain wisdom and awareness," you can find the mindfulness that best suits your needs.
