Eiko Kobayashi's origin, "Costumes that Wear Memories," began 23 years ago with a lot of kimonos left by her grandmother, whom she loved very much. Since then, Eiko Kobayashi has continued to create dresses from antique kimonos that were left behind in various parts of Japan, and has performed with various artists around the world in the hope of introducing Japanese culture to the world.
Costumes come to life only when people wear them, and the craftsmanship and memories of their owners can be passed on to the next generation. We would like to pass on to as many people as possible the Japanese culture and the memories of the many people who have been in our care over the past 23 years.
With this in mind, we have released Eiko
Kobayashi, which connects memories through leasing and ordering
costumes as "Costumes of Light, Wind and Memories".
